But no, it is a heartbreaking, powerful story of Eddie's suffering and overcoming his struggles when his life was turned upside down. Eddie is a very admirable man and he strived to make a difference in teaching youth about his trauma. Each chapter is a story and you learn so many lessons throughout reading this book. This book is a true recount of the horrors of the Nazi army and their evil acts throughout the years they were active torturing the Jewish and Polish community from 1939-1945. It makes you feel what they felt, it puts you in Eddie's feet when he was getting beaten and running away from Auschwitz. 

The struggles of Eddie were hard but he always found a way to overcome the problems with happiness and kindness to all who came past him.
Eddie brought out the best in people, even changing the way people feel and interact with others. We should all strive to act and be like Eddie and not waste our lives hating each other. We should enjoy everything and take everything one step at a time. We should explore, we should go out and not get stuck inside our homes.

I didn’t quite know if this was the book for me but then I remembered that I should always try new things, so I went out of my way to borrow it, and now I am going to tell you about it.


The book is basically about a young boy called’ Harry Potter’, he was adopted by Mr and Mrs Dursley. They treat Harry very poorly with a weak effort to make him feel welcome. Mrs Dursley doesn’t like Harry because of Her sister ( Harry’s Mother). She never liked her sister because she was a witch, and Mrs Dursley despises wizards and witches. Overtime he grows up to be a person that everyone knows their name because he was the one who survived ( YOU KNOW WHO) But the book is mostly about a fantasy magic section with different mythical creatures and odd people with odd personalities. It is also about 3 kids who get bullied by 3 other kids. There are 4 houses, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and slytherin. I really like this book because I really like fantasy and magic but most of all seeing magic objects. The books keep on getting better when you read every single book.

Has not been developed yet but it might be later in history. This book is for the age of 13 to 40 years of age. The whole group of creators and designers are called Adult Swim. Some fun facts about Rick and Morty Rick and Morty were featured in The Simpsons couch gag for the last episode of the season. Rick and Morty also have disabilities Rick has adhd and drinking problems And morty has adhd and autism.  

This year I have read multiple books, both big and small. However, currently I am reading a book called ‘I must betray you’ by Ruta Sepetys. The book has around 350 pages and is very interesting and detailed. Each page has around 50-70 words. The book is about communist Romania, set in around the 1960s -1970s during the soviet union and other ongoing world crises and events. It is about a 15 year old boy called Christian, who is pressured by the secret police, which are in charge of reporting and arresting any people who break some of the very stupid and silly rules, however they are taken very seriously and can lead to people being prosecuted or having a death sentence just by thinking or saying something negative about the state.

When he is ratted on and betrayed by his own friend for having foreign currency, he is threatened that if he doesn't become an informant and rat on his family, friends, and even girlfriend, then he and his family will be prosecuted. He is faced with the challenging decision of deciding whether he will betray almost everyone he knows, or betray his own country.

So far i am enjoying the book and it is very informative and realistic, although it is not non fictional it is still very realistic and has informed me of many historical events and facts about Romania during the time period. At the moment I am up to page 69 and if I had to rate the book out of 10 it would be a solid 9.

The author of the book is Ruta Sepetys, she is an internationally acclaimed, #1 New York Times bestselling author of historical fiction published in over sixty countries and forty languages. Sepetys is considered a “crossover” novel author  as her books are read by both students and adults worldwide.

I read a book called Robin Hood. I was walking through BigW when my dad was looking at a book. I started to wander around when this book caught my eye. It was Robin Hood. The cover was bright and had a photo of robin on a jet ski riding away from a boat.

 The book was about busting out hundreds of refugees who were working illegally in a business which makes fake designer shoes. Throughout the story people joined him to help him achieve and conquer this challenge of shutting down the factory which immigrants were forced to work and produce fake shoes in. People believed he was saving the world whilst others believed he was destroying it. These refugees were taken from home and forced to work in a secret factory. They were forced to work all day and night in poor living conditions. 

 I began reading it and couldn’t stop. I loved the book because it was action packed with characters coming in and out of the story.  At the beginning they didn’t know who he was but by the end he had a massive following. He was assisted by a group of men on motorcycles. The leader of his group was a girl's father who was friends with Robin Hood. There were around 20 men with one being a teenager who was bullied by all the seniors of the gang.

 It follows the story of a group of society rejects, who have to face their greatest fears and fight the supernatural, a being beyond comprehension. It is a story based around what is commonly known as the Stephen King Universe. Which is an interconnected universe made up of many other Stephen King books such as “The Shining” and “The Stand”. It’s a brutal and horrid, yet entertaining and constantly engaging story. With enough description and details given for every seen, to bring you into the story. In the combined IT series there are over 1000 pages, and multiple layers of story to be discovered. IT is a masterpiece amoung masterpieces and I would recommend to anyone of the ages 15 and above, as there are some inappropriate and hard to understand parts in the story. This book has inspired me to read even more of the Stephen King universe, and it shows that with enough time, effort dedication any story can become something to be marvelled at.  

Richard Russell Riordan Jr, born June 5, 1964 is a well-known American novelist.        He is most known for his Percy Jackson and the Olympians trilogy, which follows a boy called Percy Jackson who finds he is the son of the Greek deity Poseidon. Riordan's books have been translated into 42 languages and have sold over thirty million copies in the United States. The first two books in his Percy Jackson trilogy were turned into films by 20th Century Fox. His works have generated a variety of linked media, including graphic novels and short story collections.This series. During the book the way the author betrays the scenes and intense moments fulfills my curiosity, while following the story you dive into the book not waiting to leave the imagination of this story.

When I read I barely process any of the words, I just read the words in my head and don't remember hardly any of the book at the end. 

I understand how people can read them but I have barely ever been able to get hooked on a book, and when I do it's a book that is not the right genre for class. 

One book I am reading at the moment is an autobiography of an NRL player Darius Boyd. I'm not completely finished and still have around 100-150 pages left. In it he talks about his life growing up and his journey to becoming an NRL player. So far he has talked about how he grew up with a single mother and had never seen his father until he was around 14-15 years old. He told his story of how hard it was and how he looked up to one of his mum's friends as a father figure. 

He also talked about when he grew up his mates were getting signed by nrl clubs and he didn't get signed for a while. When he was 15-16 he was signed by the broncos who at the time was one of the best teams in the comp. He then goes and tells us about his time in his first Broncos preseason and how he got to train with the people he grew up watching on TV. 

From what I have read so far I think it is a good book if you like NRL or if you are starting to watch it. I recommend this book if you like autobiographies or people's life stories.

In the past year, I have read two must read books from an amazing author, Morris Gleitzman. These two books were called Soon, and Maybe. Both books had extremely interesting story lines, both about the world war that happened between the Germans and the invasion of Poland. In soon, the protagonist of the story, Felix, is struggling to survive after his parents are taken by the Nazi’s and his best friend is killed while they were attempting to escape. Towards the end of the story a pilot is shot who is in a truck with Felix. Felix then uses his knowledge to save the pilot. His fame now arises. In the story maybe, Felix is finally out of the war and is safe in a hospital where the pilot is being treated. A man comes up to him and asks him to fly to Australia with him and have a new life where everyone wants to interview him. Out of these two books, the most interesting book was Soon. Soon has a much more interesting story line and is packed with engaging language which really hooked me into the book. Maybe is the last book in the series which there isnt many interesting chapters of the story compared to the book Soon. In the series of books there are 6 books which are soon, maybe, once, after, now, and then. All books have amazing stories and which all show different perspectives between the characters during the war.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid #1

The original. It was released a long time ago on the 1st of April, 2007 but it was first released online in 2004 (18 years ago!). It got lots of recognition online so Jeff Kinney (the author) knew people would want more. The printed book was the same as the online version. So onto the review: The book centres around a middle schooler named Greg Heffely. He gets a diary from his mum and writes about his life. This feels fairly real with the motives and problems. This book is a solid 7.3 out of 10.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid #14

This is the fourteenth installation in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. By now, the problems and the things happening are very specific and just entertaining for the sake of money. BUT it is still entertaining if you have nothing to do. This diary focuses on Greg and his family trying to do home renovations. There are other shenanigans but they feel a bit rushed. I rate this book a 6.8 out of 10.

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is a good series but it is starting to feel like the same book with a different cover. This concludes my ted talk and thanks for reading.
