All the giant fast-food companies have American roots. Think about McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell and 5 Guys, I bet you can’t name 5 places in this entire world were there is not one of those.  
 But why do most Americans like fast-food so much.  Well first of all it is easy, just go to a McDonalds near you and order. Done. Even better the drive thru, you don’t even have to leave your car.  
 Secondly it is convenient, you don’t have to do anything and as it says in the word it is fast food. 
 And last Fast food is cheap, at some places in America you can get a whole meal just for a few dollars. 
 Studies show that it is even so cheap you can buy multiple fast food meals for the price of just a healthy meal. 
 Let’s be honest everyone likes fast food from time to time but there are some problems with that, especially in America. Because fast food is so cheap a big part of the lower class in America are primarily eating fast food. Which is bad for your health. Too much fast food and sodas can cause obesity and different types of illness. It is estimated that over 160 million (!) Americans are obese or have overweight. The second amendment is part of the bill of rights, which can be found in the Constitution of the United States of America. This law is unique in the world. And the results of this law are big. The gun industry in America is big, so big it contributes roughly $51 Billion to the US economy. Guns are big business. With a yearly production of almost 11 million guns you can imagine there are many guns circulating. 
 Research shows that there are 270 million legal civilian owned firearms (!) and there are roughly around 88 firearms per 100 people. But there is a rather big down side to the easy availability of firearms. In 2015 there were 59 shooting incidents comparing to the UK where there were 0. Yearly to many young people are getting killed or are witness of horrible shooting incidents. Therefore, logically you would ask the question; do we really want guns to be legal? For now, legal to own multiple guns. And seeing the amount of money there is being made this will probably not change anytime soon. President Richard Nixon declared the war on drugs naming drugs public enemy number one. His plan was to devote more federal resources to prevent new drug addicts. In the first years of the drug war six thousand people were arrested for drug related crimes.  The war on drugs still continues till this day.
 The war on drugs did not only took place in America itself. Soon the Americans noticed that to get to the source of the drugs you had to help other countries with the prevention of making and distributing drugs. For example they supported the government of Colombia in the war against cocaine and drug cartels. Witch resulted in the killing of drugs kingpin and American enemy number one Pablo Escobar.  They also continue the war on drugs in Mexico, to prevent drugs from getting over the border. Recently the Americans supported the Mexicans in arresting famous drug boss El Chapo Guzman. 
 It is seventy-four years ago since president Richard Nixon declared the war on drugs. Over these seventy-four years the war costed roughly 1.5 billion dollars (!). 
 And all this effort did it help? 
 No. 
 Recent studies have shown that the amount of people addicted to drugs in The United States is still roughly the same since 1971, with maybe even worse never seeing a real decrease in addicts at all.

NASCAR is a particularly famous in the south eastern parts of the United States. I always thought that NASCAR racing was just one event. An event were drivers compete against each other for the fastest win. But that’s not entirely true. NASCAR is more a brand name. NASCAR stands for National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing.  So, it covers many race series. The most famous one is the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, this race dates back to 1949. To win this race you have to get the most points, it is determined by a point system. You get awarded with points according to the place you finish on so, if you finish first you get the most points. Also, your points are determined by the number of laps you raced. In total there are 36 races. After 26 races 16 drivers are selected for the final 10 rounds. The 16 drivers are selected on points they collected from the 26 races. 
 In Europe we got Formula 1 so, what makes NASCAR Cup Series so special? Well, the cars they make the series unique. The cars can easily reach a top speed of over of over 200 mph.
