For example, when I came to the US, I had no idea what looked like and I didn't know English, so I learned English.

I do not feel even compelled to be active even on sovereign soil. For example in Austin when we had all of the marches on the capital in a peaceful protest of a topic, I would imagine Amy being very active about the subject and feel strongly to do something. I identify with one or the other whenever it helps me, for example when I need to be identified as Pacific Islander I can much like how Trevor was able to identify as white or black based upon the situation he was in. To go even further than to identify with, I have culture from both ethnicity just like how Trevor did. This has given me a great deal of freedom and thus made me mature faster in order for me to take care of myself and get my work done.

During that time he was born, interracial relationship was against the law. His mother was put in a jail because she was black. He had hard time, but he thought us whatever happened in past does not dictate your future.
