Government structure, kim jong un in north korea is looked at like a god his people will do anything for him but soon soemthing has happened where he is being no longer looked at as a god because of recent religous practices within its border. the dictatorship was mostly heridetary which is called "heriditary dictatorship" and kim jong un was next in line of the family to take control of north korea. kim jong un has been said to have been of of the most scariest leaders in north korea for the nuclear threats towards other countries. he is also the youngest head of state in the world with access to nuclear weapons as well as all of north korea. early in kims leadership role his aunt and uncle were told by kims grandfather to help control the military while kim gains expierience but kim executed his uncle then pursued his family.

independant media, religion, and expression are some of the things people live with there have to agree to follow they have also have restrictions on traveling, the government uses forced labor, torture in custody and executions to maintain fear amongst the people if you are a tourist in north korea you have to have a travel guide or else you will not be let into the country you also need permission to film or take pictures. very restricted freedom of speech critique of the leadership or reegime will be enough to send you to political prison camp. no religous freedom of any sort.

elections held every 4 to 5 years however voters only have one candidate to vote from, voting no is a serious act of treason and the voting booths have little to no privacy. for koreas recent leader he has gotten a 100% win rate because every person eligible to vote voted yes most likely driven by fear of saying no the ballot for kim jong un's election had only the choice between yes or no seeing that they only have 1 leader to choose from every election.

North koreas dictatorship vs United states democracy.
in a democracy the governemnt is alot less authority about what people can do like joining clubs or political parties or what religion they believe in. in a dictatorship theres just one leader and he has total rule over religion, country, and parties. some similarities between dictatorship and democracy are that both are lead by political leaders and that both governments have laws to be passed and also have a purpose.
