         <title>Southern Africa Rock Art</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>25000 BC- 15000 BC</strong><br><br>Southern African rock art was found in multiple caves in Africa. Such as Apollo II Cave and Wonderwerk Cave. The cave art was used for many different things. One way cave art was used was for hunting.          <title>Nabta Playa</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>4800- 3600 BC</strong><br><br>Nabta Playa is a megalithic site located in southern Egypt. This site is known as the beginning of farming. Cattle was found at this site which showed hunter-gatherer like strategies. Findings of sheep and goats were domesticated at this site. <br><strong>Human Cultural Development: <br></strong>Farming being introduced and showed growth within their people.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>4500 BC - 3000 BC<br></strong><br>Bavarian was a cultural phase in Egypt east of the Nile. This phase showed that their pottery and technical skills with art improved greatly. 600 tombs were excavated.<br><strong>Human Cultural Development:<br></strong>Advances were made and new innovative ways of creating pottery.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>2589 BC - 2504 BC<br><br></strong>The Giza pyramids consist of 3 large scale pyramids. These pyramids were made for 3 pharaohs; Menkaure, Khufu and Khafre. These massive structures still stand today. The Giza pyramids showed power within Egypt. <strong><br>Human Cultural Development: <br></strong>Power became relevant in Egypt.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>1570 BC - 1079 BCE</strong><br><br>The New Kingdom is a time when Egypt extends borders to become and empire. During this time Egypt now works with other powers and literacy is at an all time high. The Hyskos and Semitic people were in power. Religion and resources increased during this time <br><strong>Human Cultural Development:<br></strong>Many society changes happened and literacy increased.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>1400&nbsp;BCE<br><br></strong>As literature was increasing during this time tablets were found with writing. The writings on the tablets were letters back and forth between major powers. These letters were also used for marriages and friendship statements. <br><strong>Human Cultural Development:<br></strong>These letters shown the first such thing close to a diplomatic system.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>2920 BC</strong><br>Elmenteitan culture was a food producing culture. Many stone artifact findings showed advancement with technology. The people used stone to make stone bowls.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br>This archeological site lies on the Zimbabwe Plateau. The area was lucky and had good natural recourses. This site has impressive stone structures that were scattered all around this site.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Throughout</strong><br><br>I felt this was important to add. Microliths foundings kept popping up throughout this chapter. On page 358 in a Qadan site microliths were found. Microliths had a lot of different uses. Such as cutting grass, arrows and spears. The beginning of this period was marked by literature and administrative and the economics of the state increased as well. Djoser was the ruler of the 3rd dynasty during this period Djoser was the creator of the Step Pyramid; which was a architectural innovation of that time.<br><strong>Human Cultural Development: </strong><br>During this period of time advancements were on high.
