1)Photo 4 was chosen since it attracts viewers by demonstrating people cooperating and attempting on pulling out to ship since it was stuck. Why is one of the men just standing there and observing ? Is the ice surface strong enough to not crack and break apart when the boat is being pulled out? As a team the salesmen are capable of working as a team in order to help one another to place the ship back into the water.

2)  Yes, they definitely do more than just document the expedition, it truly shows the struggle the crew went through to arrive to their destination, and put a sense in the readers mind about how not everything goes as planned and being resourceful is important in survival. It definitely showed the most crucial roles in survival, which we could tell was leadership, since if it weren't for  Shackleton and his creative fair thinking, the crew would've froze to death.  These are examples of journalism since they recorded the expedition and showed the readers different meanings and needs in survival.

a) The ship was at a weird angle that was not suitable for its surroundings, it was mostly leaning on top of huge ice glaciers, and due to the angle of the taken photo, it appeared as if the ship was floating.
