We begin out first meeting with a taaruf session. Our naqibah made us introduce ourselves with a little twist.

Adab in Knowledge:
Adab is the way a muslim was supposed to act and behave in a certain situations. It is crucial for everyone to have adab. As a student, adab helps you to be better because when you have adab, your teachers or lecturers would be more than happy to teach you hence it's easier for you to absorb knowledge. This is also because of the blessings you got from Allah SWT. Without adab, people would despise you and it is unlikely for you to get blessings from Allah SWT. You would soon would notice how your days is filled with misery and misfortune.

Show respect to your teacher
Appreciate your teacher
Talk politely to them

Al Quran as the book of guidance:
Al Quran is one the books that were revealed to muslims. the previous one being Zabur, Taurat and Injil. The difference between The Holy Quran and the other three is that Allah had promised that Al Quran will never be corrupted by the mankind and the purity of it will be protected until The Last Day.

The only place you should go when having a question in life is Al Quran because Al Quran has everything you need in it. when having a slump, you can try seeking for guidance there. With Allah's will, you will certainly find your way. Instead of questioning why something happened to you, remember that "Allah knows everything that you don't".

The Hadith of Jibril
It explains what is Islam. Jibril disguised as a human to ask Propet Muhammad PBUH a few things regarding Islam.

The pillars of Islam:

Declaration of Syahadah
Prays 5 times a day
Fast on Ramadhan
Pay zakat
Pilgrimage to Mecca

The Pillars of Faith

Belief in Allah
Belief in His Angels
Belief in the Kitabs
Belief in the 25 Rasuls
Belief in the Last Day
Belief in Qada' & Qadar

Doing what is beautiful?
worship God as if you see Him

Signs of the end of the world:
Slavegirl gives birth to her mistress. Which means the turning upside down of the social order. Also children became completely rebellious towards their parents.

Minor Signs:

What I get from this usrah?

To get to know more about Islam
Listens to other people's point of view
Share my own 2 cents
Create a bond within my usrah mates

my hope for my next usrah:

Gain more knowledge than I already did
Have great usrah mates like right now
Being able to share my own knowledge
Have a very active sessions where most people talk and share their thoughts regarding the topic

Zakat

Types of Zakat:

Zakat fitrah (eg: zakat that are paid after ramadhan)
zakat al-Mal (Wealth zakat)
Wealth like gold, livestock, income etc.

Benefits of zakat:

cleanse your wealth & heart
close the gap between the rich & the poor
Tighten the brotherhood of Islam
Symbol of faith to Allah SWT
Your sins will be forgiven

People who refused to pay their zakat often stated that paying zakat is a loss for them even though rasulullah himslef have debunked the statement based on the hadith above. As a muslim we have to be selfless and helps people in need in order to be grant the entrance to Jannah.

Week 3

Obligatory requirements for salah:

a muslim
sacred from haid & nifas
sane
baligh

Validatory requirements for salah:

cover aurat
sure of the time of the salah
sacred from minor and major impurities
sacred from najis on your cloth, body or the place where you want to pray

There are 13 commandment of salah. There are 5 obligatory salah that we have to perform daily which is Subuh, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib & Isya'. There are also salah that sunnah such as Dhuha Prayer, Tahajjud Prayer etc.

As a muslim we are obligated to pray because salah is what differentiate us from the kafir.

Khusyu'

khusyuk is when we focused our on Allah by setting our limbs, deeply understanding and feels each words and movements in our salah
How?
Can try istighfar and recite surah An-Nas right before your niat.
Avoid being somewhere that divert your focus
Set your heart to Allah and Allah only

Tawaddhu

Tawaddhu is to be humble and to be aware of one's nothingness before Allah.
How?
respect people doesn't matter their background or status
Never criticize food or things that were given for you

Jihad

Jihad is striving doing one's outmost.
There's 2 types of jihad which is the 'greater jihad' and the 'lesser jihad'
Example of lesser jihad is jihad with your heart, jihad with your wealth etc.
Greater jihad is jihad againts your nafs

Iffah

Iffah is keeping away from what is unlawful and unbeautiful
It refers to how a woman abstained themselves from impure things to in the name of Allah
Examples of acts related to iffah includes covering your aurat perfectly and lowering your gaze from ajnabi
