The atmosphere I want to design in the flagship stores combines the historical Persian culture with a classic design with a calm and home-like interior with natural and vintage colours curves, lines and Persian patterns such as flower carpets and shapes. The carpet selling inspires all the showroom’s colours and shapes, specifically the Bakhtiary style. What they have in their collection is mostly a celebration of classic and antique designs of carpets and rugs from different countries such as Irish, Indian, Persian, etc. By looking at the carpets you think about the royalties and palaces that’s the scene I want to give to my customers but with a touch of modern design to show that these carpets can go with every design style and not take the attention from the carpets with too much going o in the interiors.

I aim to have spot and direct lighting focused on my carpet, while maintaining a generally darker ambiance, especially in the seating area, to preserve the luxury and relaxed aesthetic. Given that my color scheme leans towards orange, I redesigned my mezzanine to be under the skylight. This way, the café on the mezzanine level benefits from better natural light, while the seating area underneath enjoys a darker, cozier atmosphere. The mezzanine also offers a 360-degree view, enhancing the overall experience.

As I began integrating a lift for enhanced accessibility to my mezzanine, I realized that my initial idea of placing it on the side would disrupt the symmetrical design I envisioned. After much deliberation, I settled on a final plan: positioning the lift at the back of the mezzanine, flanked by two staircases on either side. This space will host temporary exhibitions, featuring custom-designed carpets paired with furniture arrangements. For instance, I might showcase a stunning dining table atop a bespoke carpet, adorned with complementary accessories. During my design process, I conceived an additional function for my store: a dedicated space beneath the mezzanine, separated from the seating area, specifically for showcasing carpets to our customers. This area will feature different lighting setups to highlight the carpets effectively. Most importantly, it will include a projector or large screen on the wall. This feature will allow customers to project images of their living spaces onto the wall, enabling them to visualise how the carpets would look in their homes. This innovative approach eliminates the need for customers to transport carpets back and forth , also customers can instead of bringing carpets to their homes to see if they fits or not they can bring their home to our store
