         <description><![CDATA[<div>- k-strategists typically give birth to few offspring in order that they may have a better chance at survival. The offspring are fewer in number and spend a longer period of time with dependance upon the parent. Population (in comparison to R-strategists) is small and much more stable.<br>- guinea pigs are an example of k-strategists because they normally give birth to about 2 to 3 pups per litter. These pups have an average 3 month dependence to the parent.</div>]]></description>
