After the attack on Pearl Harbor the American government decided to put them in relocation camps. 
      They had harsh conditions and not a lot of privacy in their "homes". What I found really shocking was how many people they put in the camps (over 18,000).

 I learned that  their environment was bad and they  lived in harsh conditions.
