Goal: To stretch on my own for 20 mins once a day, everyday for the next 2 weeks.

2/14- My illness of last week caused me to take some days off. I was consistent all the way up till Friday. I also was successful today. This means I had 5 out of 7 days of my goal completed. I can't really do much about being sick, but I did get a little lazy on the weekend. I think i should wake up earlier on the weekends, since waking up later in the day leads to me doing nothing all day. It is definitely an advantage that I have football and a high labor job, because it makes me sore and more likely to stretch.
2/28- Last week I found myself stretching six out of seven days. I was a little bit surprised because I ended up stretching for more than my goal. Some challenges that I faced turned out to be sleep. There were times where I was extremely tired when I came home, and ended up falling asleep. It turned out that being pretty sore from my busy schedule makes me feel like I have to stretch to feel better. I think that I should make this goal a little bit more focused because I measured my minutes by my accumulated time of stretching throughout the day. My new goal will be to have 20 uninterrupted minutes of stretching.

3/20- For the past two weeks I have met my goal 9 out of 14 times. I ended up having a lot of grown up problems to handle, and I ended up stretching less due to being a little more stressed than usual. Though my busy schedule still includes football, it still allows me to get good stretching in from all the physical activity. To make sure that I keep my consistency and don’t fall off too far, I will find a stretching partner who also would like to stretch more often.
4/20- In the past month I have only stretched when I go to football. This is equivalent to five times a week for about 15 to 20 minutes. I have completely fallen off with stretching on my own at home. To be honest I have fallen very off routine and even forgot I had the goal to stretch more often. I still want to keep the goal of finding a stretching partner and rekindling it back in for the last of the semester to get the habit back going.

Goal: Play a strategic game with a friend at least 4 times a week for the next 3 weeks.

2/14- I ended up contracting the flu and being exposed to COVID last week, so I didn't have much interaction with anyone. I did however end up getting to play a board game this weekend with a few friends. I stay in a pretty active environment so there will be plenty of opportunities to complete the goal for the week. I think 1/4 isn't bad considering I was sick, but I think it'll be easier to assess how well I handle the goal.
2/28- I only played a game one time last week and it was checkers. It was really hard to find time to play with someone, and I restricted my thinking of games to board games. I feel like it really limited my thinking and interest to play a game. I do have people in my home and environment that regularly play games. I feel like if I open my mind to more types of games to play, I can achieve my goal a bit better.

3/20- The past two weeks I have played games every day except two days out of the week. I did find myself more focused on playing games than usual rather than accomplishing other goals I have. In a way, playing games might have become a bit of a distraction. However it has been fun to play more than usual. I’ve found myself to be more laid-back. I do think that I should stay closer to the days I had planned originally, so that I do not over play.

4/21- For the past month I have built the consistent habit to play a strategic game with my roommate. It turns out that I was not able to cut back to the original goal, because I play every day now. While it does give my mind a fun way to think and stay active throughout the day, I still find myself using it as a distraction. Each week varied with how long I played a day, but I never really played an unhealthy amount of time. I did however play longer and got way more distracted with games on my phone. I’d like to steer toward more games disassociated with my phone, but still keep the habit.

Goal: To learn to paint with a new technique or tool by the end of the semester.

2/14- I have not yet painted. It hasn't crossed my mind yet. I do believe making an effort to at least start in the next coming week will further along my process. I still don't know what I'm going to paint yet. I definitely want to have the object picked out and what I'm going to paint picked out.
2/28- I still have not started on anything. I have had a period of time where I have not been very creative, because I have been focusing on other stressful things. With a combination of being out of routine of painting and many distractions it was very difficult for me to even think of painting the past few weeks. My girlfriend has been working on a painting recently and has been in the routine. This can be an opportunity for me to possibly paint with her. It could increase my chances of maybe completing my goal if someone is doing it with me.

3/20- I have one layer of paint on my canvas, which is more than before but of course not enough. I have been really slow to start on this painting and I honestly don’t know why. I do not have a whole lot of time on my hands so I am not that pressed about not having much done yet, but as things slow down I’m sure the painting will progress. I would like to take advantage of my upcoming free time in the next month or so to start painting more.
4/1 I have done another painting session and I have put a lot more paint on the canvas. I have now started using techniques of painting with different objects instead of a paintbrush. One of the objects I am currently using on this layer is a metal ruler. It is leaving a rough effect and a lot of paint on the canvas to give it a thick background. I’d like to paint something a little more specific and clear now that I have a lot of abstract elements. I still want to try and preserve using strange objects because this is still something I’ve never really done before.

Goal: To meditate at least 3 times a week for 30 mins outside for the rest of the semester.

2/14- I meditated once last week. I had a very inconsistent out of whack week considering illness and schedule. Waking up early is very important in order for me to truly have time to myself. My house is very active so I really have to take advantage of the time I do get truly alone. This coming week I think I'll see more success with a consistent schedule.

2/28- I have not really meditated this past week. I only meditated once. I’ve had a lot of stressful things thrown at me that were very unexpected and I have not even thought of meditating. I also don’t seem to give myself any time to do it. I do have the opportunity to wake up a little bit earlier due to my schedule during the day. Waking up a little bit earlier and making it the start of my day might help me get a little more success in the upcoming weeks.

3/21- I’m still finding myself in the same loop of my schedule. I tend to go to sleep trying to complete things I need to do, and waking up to a new task to complete. This feels like a situation where life is happening, but I am struggling to make space for myself. I think that I should reduce my goal to at least once a week for a longer time to try to gain more progress.

4/25- in the past 4 to 5 weeks I have been able to meditate more than usual. The intensity of my schedule has started to die down and I have also been able to get more of a routine back. I am waking up earlier and still having time reserved for myself somewhere in my day. I would like to gradually increase how often I meditate to twice a week. I think it’ll be beneficial at the beginning and the end of the week.

Goal: Giving a present to each one of my close friends with a birthday in the semester. ( 4 friends)

2/14- Last week I was able to give my friend a new drink to enjoy his 21st birthday. It wasn't an official present, but it was something he expressed to me as something he enjoyed about his birthday. I ended up missing the February 3rd birthday, but I'd still like to make up for it and get a gift before the month is out. I need to prepare a bit better considering my schedule. It's something I have account for when planning. for the next to birthdays, I'd like to have the gifts ready days before the birthday.
2/28- for the past few birthdays I have not necessarily gotten a large gift for my friends. I did however end up attending birthday events and covering food or drinks as a gift. Though I have not necessarily gone all out, I still wanted to do something to show them I appreciate them. I think I can do a bit better at giving so I’d like to actually get or make something.

4/20- For the last of my friends’ 21st birthday I planned to document. I finally got gifts. I purchased a bottle of whiskey that I thought you might enjoy, as well as pods for a Vape. I tried to get a few things that celebrate his legal upgrade. It was nice to get a specific thing that I know they would enjoy. It felt good to accomplish that on a meaningful day for them rather than a random act of service.

Challenges: I have a very busy schedule with football, work, and school. This causes me to really keep up with my schedule because falling behind can cause me to fall apart. I also live with close friends that can sometimes be a distraction to the things I need to get done.

Strengths: In a reverse way, my friends are also good at holding me accountable. I’ve recently switched up a lot of habits that allow me to have more energy and life throughout the day. I should be able to have enough energy to get everything done. My coaches also help hold me accountable as well allowing me to have a lot of support if I want it.

2/14- Communication, having a bottom line, the 7 smart love principles, personality, and conflict management all play important roles in well being personally and socially. Being able to clearly understand who you have your relationships and the best thing for the self and the other person is crucial to how we function. Not being able to comfortably be yourself rather alone or with another person can only lead to the breaking down of a person. If there's no efficient way to solve conflict, or meet your own needs, or someone else's intimately involved, there is bound to be damage to someone's well being.
3/21- I have found stress to be a big factor in consciousness of well being for me. I tend to get wrapped up in what is stressing me that I end up only focusing on it and how it makes me feel. I definitely perceive it to be a bigger deal than it is, but it's taught me the importance of stress management and having a plan on how to recognize stress causes and deal with myself.
4/25- More things to deal with in life always come. I believe that the longer you live the more responsibility you take on. I understand that some of it you may get to chose to take on, and some of it you don't but either way it comes. I believe more responsibility plays more of role in stress. Though it still happens, there is very little room to slack off. When there is more risk of stress, well being becomes more important to maintain. I think simply documenting what you do like this projects allows you to see yourself. It is difficult to see your reflection if you aren't looking in the mirror. Keeping up with what you do, want to do, and feel supports self awareness. I think self awareness leaves room to see and acknowledge the situations we are in and also the chance to change them.
