• My journey started through a mentor activity, where I was first introduced to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).✨.

• This was the initial spark that helped me recognize the importance of global goals for a better future🌍.

• This created the foundation of my awareness and curiosity to learn more.

• I then participated in a college SDG workshop, where I gained structured knowledge of the 17 SDGs🍃.

• This workshop transformed my perspective, showing how SDGs are directly connected to our daily lives, education, and environment🌍✨.

As a second-year Computer Engineering student from SNJBCOE, I presented our “GLOBE Cloud Data Explorer” research with peers from 12+ countries. This was a milestone in my STEM journey

• As part of Green Pulse 2025: Grow Green with GLOBE, I participated in a World Environment Day tree plantation campaign under the GLOBE Lab Special Initiative.

• Each seed, sapling planted was a step towards protecting ecosystems and contributing to SDG 15 (Life on Land) and SDG 13 (Climate Action) by promoting greener ecosystems and environmental awareness.

‘Sakhi’ means a companion, and true to its name, the initiative creates a supportive community where knowledge, leadership, and action come together.

Through awareness sessions, digital literacy, STEM-based projects, and grassroots activities, SDG Sakhi bridges the gap between local challenges and global goals. At its core, it amplifies women’s voices, nurtures youth leadership, and transforms learning into sustainable impact.

🧹 This initiative helped me support sustainability and community well-being.

The turning point came when I joined the National Service Scheme (NSS). Through cleanliness drives, blood donation awareness, and tree plantation activities, I experienced the value of empathy, service, and teamwork. It was during this journey that I was introduced to the SDG Group, which gave my path a new purpose.

By the second year, I started exploring how youth participation could make a difference. I engaged in peace dialogues, cultural events, and awareness campaigns on sustainability, supporting SDG 16 (Peace & Justice) and SDG 17 (Partnerships). These experiences taught me that even small actions—like reducing waste, spreading awareness, or adopting eco-friendly habits—can create big changes.

Now, in my third year, my journey has grown stronger. I am connecting my engineering knowledge with real-world impact through projects like the Smart Vacuum Cleaner and Canteen Management System. These reflect my belief that technology is not just for development—it can also be a tool to solve everyday challenges and contribute to the SDGs.

Today, my SDG journey has transformed me. I have learned to go beyond academics, to think globally while acting locally, and to use my skills for innovation and social responsibility. Most importantly, I now see myself not just as a student, but as a responsible global citizen working for a sustainable tomorrow.

Participated in a personality enrichment and wellness session focused on building self-confidence, mental well-being, and holistic growth of girls. This initiative supported SDG 3: Good Health & Well-being and SDG 5: Gender Equality.
