Conventional teaching methods are teacher- centered methods where teacher is the primary source of information and students mostly have to listen the lectures and doing test, homework and assignments individually .On the other hand, project based learning is student - centred learning where students are not only the listener .Students work on problems to find out their solutions by working in groups .It helps to improve their cognitive skills .They learn through implementing things and creating real life connections.They learn to work in collaboration , it helps to develop their problem solving skill.
