Regular teaching is often like the teacher just giving information, and students mostly listen and remember facts, usually working alone on homework and tests that feel separate from real life.

PBL (Project-Based Learning) is different. It's like getting a big, interesting problem to solve. Students learn by actively exploring, working with others, and figuring things out themselves. It feels more like tackling a real-world challenge where they have more say in how they learn and what they create, with the teacher guiding them.

Project-Based Learning is different from traditional teaching because students work on real-world projects that they explore and solve together. Instead of just listening to a teacher, students actively research and collaborate to find solutions, while the teacher helps guide them. PBL focuses on learning by doing, while traditional teaching often involves lectures and tests where students learn from the teacher. PBL also helps students build skills like teamwork and problem-solving, making learning more hands-on and fun.

Munazza Sheikh

Conventional teaching methods are teacher- centered methods where teacher is the primary source of information and students mostly have to listen the lectures and doing test, homework and assignments individually .On the other hand, project based learning is student - centred learning where students are not only the listener .Students work on problems to find out their solutions by working in groups .It helps to improve their cognitive skills .They learn through implementing things and creating real life connections. They learn to work in collaboration , it helps to develop their problem solving skill.

Project-Based Learning is quite different from regular or traditional teaching. In a normal classroom the teacher usually explains the topic and students listen, take notes, and learn facts. They often study one subject at a time and then take tests to show what they remember. The teacher is the main person in charge and students mostly follow instructions.

But in PBL students learn by doing real projects. They work in groups, ask questions, solve problems and create things like posters, models or presentations. The teacher helps and guides them instead of just giving answers. This way students understand the topic better and also learn important skills like teamwork thinking clearly and sharing ideas. PBL makes learning more fun and connected to real life.
