At Sentul, 2km north of the town centre, former president Sukarno’s grave is marked by a massive black stone and an elaborate monument of columns and murals depicting his achievements. Sukarno (or Bung Karno) is widely regarded as the father of the Indonesian nation, although he was only reinstated as a national hero in 1978. Despite family requests that he be buried at his home in Bogor, Sukarno was buried in an unmarked grave next to his mother in Blitar.

His father’s grave was also moved here from Jakarta. It was only in 1978 that the lavish million-dollar monument was built and the gravesite was opened to visitors. There’s also a small museum devoted to the man, which has hundreds of historic photographs of Sukarno with heads of state, including John F Kennedy and Ho Chi Minh.

The monument has an undeniable poignancy, and thousands of Indonesian pilgrims come here each year to pay their respects. Visitors peak around Independence Day (17 August) when men and women, dressed in their best batik and jilbab, gather and chant in his honour. Sadly, as you leave, things descend abruptly into tacky consumerism as you’re directed through a seemingly never-ending maze of souvenir stalls.

Construction started in 1961 under President Soekarno but was not completed until 1975, under President Soeharto. The monument houses a couple of museums. The Freedom Hall depicts Indonesia's struggle for independence through a series of dioramas, whereas the Hall of Contemplation displays the original Declaration of Independence document and a recording of the speech.

The palace was built by Sultan Hamengkubuwono I in stages, then completed in 1790. The palace was built facing directly to the north – Mount Merapi. While in the south it is bordered by the Indian Ocean.

As a brief history of the Yogyakarta palace, it was recorded that there was once an Islamic empire located in the central part to the south of Java Island named Mataram. This kingdom was centered in Kota Gede which is located southeast of the city of Yogyakarta today. The center of this Kingdom kept moving from Plered, Kartasura to Surakarta due to the Dutch intervention at that time. As a result of this, an anti-Dutch movement emerged led by Prince Mangkubumi. This movement led to the Giyanti or Palihan Nagari agreement on February 13, 1755 or on the Javanese calendar, namely on Kemis Kliwon, 12 Rabingulakir 1680 TJ. The agreement was pioneered by the Dutch with the help of local figure Patih Pringgalaya. In the short history of the Yogyakarta palace, it was this agreement that gave birth to the current Yogyakarta Sultanate.

The Giyanti Agreement stated that the Mataram Kingdom was divided into two, namely the Surakarta Hadiningrat Sunanate led by Susuhunan Paku Buwono III and the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Sultanate led by Prince Mangkubumi with the title Hamengku Buwono I. In the Giyanti agreement, it also regulated how these two kingdoms differentiated themselves from each other starting from the governance how to dress, customs, language, gamelan to dances and other things. The discussion took place during a meeting between Sultan Hamengku Buwono I and Susuhunan Paku Buwono III in Lebak, Jatisari on 15 February 1755 or two days after the Giyanti agreement. After all matters of division between the two kingdoms were over through the Giyanti Agreement, then on March 13, 1755 or Kemis Pon, 29 Jumadilawal 1680 TJ,

The unique fact that exists in the Yogyakarta Palace is that the Yogyakarta Palace houses 23 golden carriages belonging to the Yogyakarta Sultanate. The location of the golden train is in the Keraton Ngayogyakarta Museum. The dozens of horse-drawn carriages owned by the Yogyakarta Palace have various uses and have different names. Uniquely, some of the trains in this museum are still used in palace ceremonies. Some of these events such as the Sultan's coronation ceremony, the wedding of the Sultan's son, or taking the sultan's body to the final resting place. Some of the museum's collections are quite interesting, including the Kanjeng Nyai Jimad Train. The horse-drawn carriage is a heritage from the Palace, made by the Dutch in 1750.

Yogyakarta, which is synonymous with various tourist attractions, from cultural, culinary, natural, to shopping tours, you can find in the book Around Exotic Tourist Attractions in Jogja.

The Sangiran Early Man Site is one of the tourist attractions in Solo. This site consists of various kinds of ancient human replicas from various periods. This site is located approximately 15 km from Solo, precisely in the Solo river valley, at the foot of Mount Lawu. Not only that, there are also several fossils that were found and later displayed in this site. The Sangiran Early Man Site or the Sangiran Museum is located in the Site area

Sangiran is divided into five clusters. The first cluster is the Krikilan Cluster which functions as a visit center. Then followed by four other clusters, namely the Dayu Cluster, the Bukuran Cluster, the Ngebung Cluster, and the Manyarejo Museum.

The Sangiran Early Man Site is well-known internationally as a site that contributes knowledge about the importance of evidence for the evolution of humans, fauna, culture, and the environment. In fact, because it has an important goal of advancing the knowledge of the next generation in Indonesia, UNESCO has designated the Sangiran Early Man Site as a cultural heritage. The designation was made in 1996 as world cultural heritage number 593 under the name The Sangiran Early Man Site.

This site was glimpsed by the world after a Dutch researcher named Von Koenigswald conducted research in 1934. Von said that at that time he found stone tools resulting from human culture for his research in the Sangiran Early Man Site. Then, in 1936 the first early human fossils were found at the Sangiran Site. Then year after year more and more research was conducted at Sangiran which resulted in many findings, such as fossils, hunting tools, bones and rocks.

In fact, because too many discoveries were made, the fossil collection owned by the Sangiran Early Man Site reached 13,086. This site is filled with good archaeological content to develop Indonesia's cultural heritage.

The Raja Ampat Islands are a group of islands located in the western part of the Bird's Head Peninsula (Vogelkoop) of Papua Island. Administratively, this cluster is under Raja Ampat Regency and Sorong City, Southwest Papua Province. These islands are now a destination for divers who are interested in the beauty of the underwater scenery. The four island groups that are members are named after the four largest islands, namely Waigeo Island, Misool Island, Salawati Island, and Batanta Island.
According to Conservation International, marine surveys suggest that the marine life diversity in the Raja Ampat area is the highest recorded on Earth. Diversity is considerably greater than any other area sampled in the Coral Triangle composed of Indonesia, Philippines and Papua New Guinea. The Coral Triangle is the heart of the world's coral reef biodiversity, making Raja Ampat quite possibly the richest coral reef ecosystems in the world.
The area's massive coral colonies along with relatively high sea surface temperatures, also suggest that its reefs may be relatively resistant to threats like coral bleaching and coral disease, which now jeopardize the survival of other coral ecosystems around the world.

Breccia Cliff is a former mining tourist destination located in Groyokan Hamlet, Sambirejo Village, Prambanan District, Sleman Regency, D.I. Yogyakarta. Initially, the Breksi Cliff was a limestone mining area which was a source of livelihood for the people in the vicinity. The limestone in the Breccia Cliffs was originally the ash ejected by the Nglanggeran Volcano during its eruption decades ago. The cubes of ash settle into mud and harden into rock. It was the weather and time that turned the ashes from the eruption into large limestone rocks in Sambirejo Village. In 2014, a combination of researchers from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and the National Development University (UPN) conducted a survey of the Breksi Cliffs and they found a rare type of tuffaceous rock. So that mining had to be stopped and in 2015 the Breksi Cliff was designated as one of the Yogyakarta Geoheritage.

Since then, the local community has taken the initiative to develop Breksi Cliff with their creativity. This ex-mining cliff about 30 meters high is carved to form reliefs and wayang stories which are decorated with details on the carvings. The beauty of the artistic work produced is then disseminated using social media, so that Breksi Cliff becomes a popular tourist destination among the public. Another beauty that can be found at the Breccia Cliffs is the extraordinary natural scenery. Because this tourist attraction is located at 200 meters above sea level, visitors can see the city of Yogyakarta from a height. Especially when the sun sets, visitors will be treated to a beautiful sunset over the Breccia Cliffs.

Previously there were only a few pine trees, now they have been planted so that they stretch along the coast.

Cemara Tuban Beach provides its own uniqueness with a different beach feel, the beach there is very wide, not only suitable for you to walk along it, also suitable for people who have sports as hobbies, for example just jogging, jogging or so on.
