Emily attends Early Years in Education Level 2. The topic for the day is safeguarding. She discloses the following whilst in a group activity.

“I am afraid of my husband. We have been married 8 years. He shouts at me and the children. He tells me it’s a good job I have him because no one else would want me. I try to stay out of his way if I can. I go to my sister’s everyday with the children after school, just to pass the time. He calls me whilst I’m there, shouting that he knows I’m with another man. I explain I am with my sister but he calls me a liar.”

“I have anxiety attacks when it’s time to return home. I cry myself to sleep every night.”
