Eminem displayed Non-Conformity very early in his career by attempting to join a rap culture dominated by African Americans. He didn't seem to care that he was at a major disadvantage by being white.

Eminem grew up in a very rough part of Detroit and there were many things that stood in his way to achieving his dream of becoming a rapper. There were all of his obstacles and people who doubted him, on his quest to become a great rapper. Eminem advanced very confidently by knowing that he had the ability to be one of the best. During his deployment he was in combat and was blown up by an explosive, causing him to lose all 4 of his limbs. When some have traumatic incidents like Taylor Morris they tend to think of the worst and that they will never get better. However, Morris did just the opposite and took his injuries to help other disabled veterans.

Taylor Morris used intuition over reason by not seeing his injuries as something to feel sorry for himself. Instead he used them as a way to inspire and help others. Everest. Bear Grylls knew that he had to trust himself on the climb and that he had to believe that he could make it over all of the obstacles Mt. Everest had to offer. He had to rely on his body being able to withstand the bitter cold, dehydration, and hunger.

Grylls showed a massive amount of Self-Reliance because of the fact of how challenging it is to climb Mt. Everest. He knew that people had died in the past and even on the climb he was on at the time. Either way he was going to die on the trek, or he was going to make it to the summit. It focused on the Australian Zoo and the everyday lives of naturalists Steve and Terri Irwin. The couple's lives revolved around the zoo and the animals living in it. They loved nature and everything about it.

Steve grew up on a wildlife park that his parents owned and he strongly interacted with animals as a child. He found love in nature and animals at a very young age and it carried over into his adulthood. Since he became my math teacher he has showed and hinted that he lives a very simple life simple life. Mr. Koop is always talking about new and how there is no way he is going to be able to use all of the new features coming out. He frequently asks me why someone would need a car with 700 horsepower because he is happy with something simple enough to get him from Point A, to Point B.

People like Steve Koop are becoming rarer and rarer because of the advances of technology. He easily relates to the quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson because society is everywhere and you don't see people like Steve very often. Everyone nowadays is always looking at their phone, or watching TV and those who don't are seen as "out of date."
