People say there is a famine when three conditions come together in a specific geographic area, the first condition is that 20 percent of the population that are in that area or place are facing high extreme levels of hunger and starvation. The second is that 30 percent of the children aren't eating enough like they were supposed to. And finally, the 3rd condition is that the mortality must rate double the amount.


IPC= Stands for, Individual Care Plan, and is a way to simplify food data that it makes people that decide or decision makers can understand and make decision, IPC then is putting the data in 5 different categories, ICP 1: none/minimal, ICP 2: stressed, ICP 3: crisis, IPC 4: Emergency, and IPC 5: famine/catastrophe.
