I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Ho Yu Fei from 5 Integrity. My hobbies are dancing, drawing and reading. It had been a pleasure to serve as a prefect for the past few years. With a positive attitude, I constantly strive to improve myself and build my strengths. My strong team spirit enables me to work well with my peers and classmates. As a responsible and reliable prefect, I take my role seriously to set a good example to others.

My vision is to encourage my peers to live a healthy lifestyle that is well-balanced with education. I would like to introduce outdoor excercise such as walking or jogging etc. The students can walk or jog around a nearby park for 20 minutes is a great way to stay strong and healthy. 

If appointed to the role of Head Prefect, I will do my best and build a school in which we will support one another.

I am Mahaveer, a proud prefect of Bukit View Primary School, but before I go on, let me tell you more about myself. My hobbies are reading books and playing games. I also love to draw and colour. I love volunteering as it brings a warm feeling in my heart, as I am doing something helpful to society.

Over the past few years, I have been a part of this wonderful school community. I have learned, grown, and thrived here.

 As a prefect, I have always strived for excellence, not just in academics, but also in CCA activities.

• Creative corner: For most of you who like drawing and colouring, this idea is dedicated to you. The Creative Corner is a place where students, during their free time, can use their imaginations to draw and colour. Some other activities that you can do in this space are : reading, writing and crafting.

As a student leader, I have always been passionate about creating a positive impact on our school community. Throughout my time here, I have been actively involved in events, and initiatives that promote inclusivity, teamwork, and academic excellence.

If I become Head Prefect, my vision will be to foster a culture of kindness, respect, and empathy. I aim to listen to your concerns, ideas and suggestions.

We all know being Head Prefect is a super important job. It's about making our school the absolute coolest place ever! A place where learning is like an exciting adventure, everyone feels included, and there's always something fun happening!

That's exactly the kind of school I want to create, with YOUR help of course! Here are some awesome ideas to make that happen:

1.Are you ready for a Monday morning mystery? Every Monday, we can start the week with a “mystery” for the students to solve. It can be a riddle or puzzle. Students who managed to solve it first will get a prize. Let’s make learning fun and interesting!

2. If you want to learn something new during your recess, you can sign up for ‘Leisure Learning Labs’. We can have recess activities conducted by parent volunteers or prefect volunteers on everything from origami to coding to mind-blowing science experiments.

These are just a few ideas to make our school the absolute best! But remember, the coolest ideas come from YOU! As your Head Prefect, I promise to listen to all your suggestions. We can brainstorm ways to make our school even more amazing! Remember, every voice matters! ️

I am Htate Htar Khin from 5 Tenacity, a prefect and the new CCA leader of the Angklung and Kulintang Ensemble. My hobbies are reading, drawing and singing. I like to try new things too.

Over the years, I have attended Bukit View Primary School. I have grown up in this wonderful environment and I am very proud to be a Bukit viewan. Now, I am a Head Prefect nominee and I feel very proud to be nominated.

You might be wondering, why me? 

Well, I am willing to lead and represent the school. I am also ready to take on the challenges of being a Head Prefect.

So, here is one new initiative by me:

Riddle Fridays!!

There will be a riddle on every Friday during pre-assembly. Students can write the answers during recess and stick it on a whiteboard in front of the Thinker Tinker room. The answer will be revealed in the subsequent week.

1. Quiz Time! During recess, we can set up a fun and educational booth for them that the prefects can make.

2. Art Corner, during recess, we can let students draw and hang their art to display to everyone. This can help students to get more creative!

I am Tan Jie Yu from 5 Tenacity. My hobbies are playing board games, making crafts and playing football with my neighbors during the weekends. My CCA is Football.

My vision is to enhance our school into an even better environment where everyone will be happy and enjoy coming to school.

I am a determined person who can overcome tough situations. I am also a friendly and approachable person who can work well in a team to resolve challenges together.

If I become a Head Prefect, I will do my best and strive to be a good student leader. With these traits, I believe that I could be a Head Prefect.

 If I have the chance to be the Head Prefect, I would like to have a Creative Canvas corner. It is a big whiteboard on an empty wall in areas such as the Snake and Ladder. This way, students can use it to draw during recess, play games or discuss homework after school.

I would also like to have a Paper Playground in our school. A recycling bin for papers where students can donate unused or scrap papers, with at least a clean side. The papers could be donated by students who does not need that sheet and put into a recycling box. They could draw on the paper or make crafts with it. We can even display students’ work for everyone to see!

Before I start, let me introduce myself, my name is Emma and I am from 5 Tenacity.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share a little more about myself. My hobby is doing art and crafts. I love doing art and crafts because it allows me to use my creativity! I want to be an interior designer when I grow up because it is related to art, I also can help other people design their houses to their liking using my creativity.

Now let me share why you should vote for me as your Head Prefect:

I am friendly, fun-loving and approachable too. I am open to suggestions to make the school better. I will try my best to make the school a fun and educational place for you! I also have the experience being a Vice CCA Leader and a PSL from P3 to P5. The learning opportunities and experiences gained were invaluable.

Next, I would to suggest one thing which is to start up this Creative Canvas in school.

Creative Canvas is an area to promote creativity and collaboration through drawing. All we need is 2 whiteboards, a table and some drawing materials to get started. Students can display their artworks on one of the whiteboards to inspire others to participate. Alternatively, students can also put their art on the other whiteboard where other students can improvise on it by adding on to the art piece from their perspective. Hopefully the art piece can evolve into a big collaborative art piece by the students of BVPS.

For example: I have to wake up early to prepare for morning duty, patrolling in the school for the student safety and go to assembly on time. During the recess time to help the primary 1 student to find the classroom or washrooms. In the perfect meeting, I learn how to listen, communicate and suggest ideas for what can be improved together.

If I am the head prefect, I hope to create a vibrant school environment where every student feels valued, included, and empowered to shine.

I would like to suggest having an interesting Reading corner in the classroom so that the students can read books during when they have morning assembly in class. Let our reading time become happy and interesting!

I would like to suggest a Fun Corner in the canteen, for the students to bring their own toy to share and play with their friends. We can build connections and create fond memories together! Sharing is caring, right?!

These art forms are not just hobbies but essential parts of my identity, shaping my character and fostering empathy and creativity within me.

As Head Prefect, I aspire to lead with empathy, integrity, and a commitment to service. My vision for our school is one of inclusivity, innovation, and excellence—a place where dreams are realized.

To achieve this vision, I propose initiatives to enhance the school experience. I will establish platforms for student-led artistic expression, fostering a culture where talents are showcased and passions are ignited.

ABOUT ME my favourite hobby is sports. I love playing sports because it makes me healthy and strong. Three sports I love playing is soccer, badminton and basketball.

Suggestions for the school:

1. Study or homework corner for students during recess or their free time. We can put the study place at meeting deck and put some chairs with tables.

2. We used to have the KFC playground but now we do not so I'm suggesting the school to have a playground so that the students can play and have fun during recess or after school.

HOW TO KEEPP THE SCHOOL CLEAN

We can help the school by picking up the litters when cleaners are not around.

Why I choose to be a prefect:

1. I choose to be a prefect because I love helping my teachers and friends in school.

2. Being a prefect, you have to be responsible of your work. Whenever teacher gives me homework, I will always hand it on time.

3. We should respect one another. If we respect the person then the person will also respect you. That's how you show respect to one another. You should pay attention when teacher is teaching.

Why should you vote me as your Head Prefect? Firstly, I am a diligent and hardworking student. Secondly, I always feel motivated and try my best in everything I do. Lastly, I would like to take on the role of a Head Prefect and lead the school with example. With these qualities of mine, I believe I can take on the role as the school’s next Head Prefect.

If I become the next Head Prefect, I would like the school to add a corner in the library called Write With Pride. This corner in the library is for students who want to write their own stories. By setting up the Write With Pride Corner, students can express their creativity and imagination in their stories they write. This also allows students to have a place in the library to write their own story inspired by their favourite authors. Students who want to go to the Write With Pride Corner can go during their recess, or after school.

But before I end my speech, here’s an inspiring quote that I want to share with everyone. ”Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” I chose to share this quote with everyone as it reminds me to take small steps everyday and eventually, all the small steps I took will turn into one big achievement.
