         <title>Mobile Video Editing</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Summary:</strong><br>Mobile video editing is any kind of video editing that can be done on a mobile device. Here in particular I am using it within the context of Android Smartphones. Within the context of Emerging Remote Teaching and limited access to technologies the smartphone has received the spotlight to address such issues. Smartphones are defined as any phone that can connect to the internet. In the above example I am making use of a software called Capcut to demonstrate some of the basic aspects of video editing that is possible <br><br>Recommended knowledge<strong>: image editing; audio editing<br>Hardware: </strong><em>Android Smartphone</em><strong><br>Software: </strong><em>Capcut</em><strong><br><br>Duration: 2 hours<br><br>Outcomes: </strong>Increased awareness of mobile technologies and advances in its video editing capabilities.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Screenrecording &amp; compression</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Summary:</strong> Screenrecording refers to the ability to video capture actions appearing on the screen of any digital device. Typically, this may be a desktop/ laptop or smartphone device. As more of our teaching is being done remotely and more of our activities become digital, so too has the need to share activities from those digital platforms. Screenrecording or screencasts has proven to be a novel way of sharing those screen actions with others. This workshop introduces participants to the basics of screenrecording, the tools we can use and how to disseminate the final product.</p><p><br/></p><p>Requirements:</p><p>Knowledge of video editing will be a benefit. Bring your laptop/ smartphone device.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Summary:</strong><br>Our interactive multimedia workshops covers audio-editing, image editing and basic video editing. These workshops focus more on the technical aspects of creating multimedia objects and is aimed at introducing participants to the basics. Many students are required to submit evidence-based multimedia assignments and would require digital media literacy throughout their studies and work environment<br><strong><br>Recommended knowledge:</strong> Audio and image editing<br><strong>Requirements:</strong><br>Basic computer literacy and knowledge of working with multimedia files will be an advantage. We predominantly work in a windows environment (Windows 64 bit OS), laptop, earphones (optional)<br>Softwares: Audacity, Capcut, minitool moviemaker, Pixlr, Google, WeVideo<br><br><strong>Duration:</strong> 3 hours<br><br><strong>Teaching</strong> <strong>MODE: </strong>Face-to-face/ online<br><br><strong>Outcomes:</strong> Participants will have an increased awareness of the role that images play in communication (digital media literacy skills) as well as how audio can be manipulated and best used for creating podcasts. Basic video editing allows participants the opportunity to bring various multimedia elements together in a coherent fashion.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Summary: Digital storytelling is a short first-person narrative that brings together&nbsp; traditional storytelling with 21 century digital tools. These workshops are designed to accommodate smaller groups (under 20) and preferably in a face to face classrooms. During these workshops we pay attention to crafting the stories through story-circle process as well as focus on the technical aspects of production.
