1. Use backward planning to create thoughtful questions (as your assessment) that encapsulates what you need the students to know at the end of your lesson. This can be 3-5 questions that hit the essential questions and standards.
2. Provide opportunities for student discourse - virtual or real time.
3. Organizes the resources or links (provides choice in process.)
4. Clearly defines directions for how students will engage in the learning (flow.)
5. Add in any troubleshooting links and directions (that can easily be copy/pasted into future lessons.)
6. Always ask students to reflect on their learning.
