Solar Panel-Powered Water Pumps

An idea I had thinking for this project is to make low-cost, efficient water pump that can be used in regions that don't have an easy way of getting water due to how dry it can be, like a desert. However, instead of using non-renewable forms of energy, like gasoline that'll pollute the area around it, you can use solar panels, so that it can convert solar energy from the sun, into electricity that'll power a mechanism that retrieves water from underground water sources. The solar panels can have a water spray mechanism attach onto water pump to the panel that washes away any desert debris off of the panel, or can be used to store excess energy in batteries that can be put into other usages. This idea will make water pumps more eco-friendly and won't contribute to much pollution that we already have.
