Synthetic means man-made. For example, technology, plastic and lots more everyday items are all synthetic. Natural means non man-made. For example, treese and rocks are both natural. This means that they grew from something and were no modified and/or made in a lab.

My picture is of the different steps that the oil takes towards becoming plastic. It shows where it goes to turn into something and then what that turns into. It shows that they get the oil from the ground, then they put it in a storage compartment. Next, they ship that to the oil refineries. There they turn the oil into petrol and naptha. Naptha then turns into polystyrene

What are Pros and Cons of synthetic and natural diamonds?

Some pros of a synthetic diamond are that they are cheaper, they save the environment and they only take 2 weeks to get. Some cons of a synthetic diamond are that they are not natural. This means that they will not be as shiny because it is not natural. A pro of having natural diamonds is that it is very shiny. Some cons of having a natural diamond are that they are more expensive, the take millions of years to form and that getting them hurts the environment.

How do synthetic materials affect society?

Synthetic materials affect society because a lot of everyday items are synthetic. For example, cars, plastic, technology and more are all synthetic. This affects society because without synthetic item the world would be a mess. There would be no light because all sources of light are synthetic (not including the sun). Also there would be no cars or technology. This shows how much synthetic materials affect society.
