The 6 types of synovial joints include ball and socket, hinge, saddle, ellipsoid, pivot, and gliding. I can remember this information from the pictures of the legos. For each term, I can see the little images of the joint and where it is located. The kahoot also helped me memorize the names and locations for each joint.

The sagittal plane splits the body vertically into left and right parts. The frontal plane also splits the body vertically but into anterior and posterior parts. The transverse plane splits the body horizontally into superior and inferior parts. This information was implanted when we took the notes in colors. Using different colors and following the drawings on the board helped me memorize each plane. Doing the gummy bear lab to review this information also assisted this memorization.

Taking notes on this topic was very simple because of the way they were split up into upper appendages and lower appendages. Learning each section alone was so much easier than memorizing all of the skeleton at once. In my opinion, the biggest help with memorization was reviewing during class by naming and pointing to each bone. The lab with all the bones laid out was very helpful with retaining the information as well.

After submitting this assignment, I looked through my classmates projects and learned a lot of information about the variety of professions in the sports medicine field. There are so many different jobs, degrees, and lifestyles in the world of sports medicine and I´m excited to continue to research to figure out what would suit me best.
