However, communication is not just talking but also listening to the ideas of others to make the best decisions. 

To be a good leader you must have good communication skills to begin with because you need to be able to get your message across and uplift the people you are leading and inspire them. 

It does not always mean that by having good communication skills it will make them good a leader. For example a person might have great communication skills  but not have any confidence to stand up in front of a group or lead and take responsibility for the group.

I know that leadership can affect how people contribute to discussions which could be in a positive or negative way:

P: More people contributing to discussions who are usually shy or aren’t usually ones to share their ideas.

N: Leader taking over and less people contributing or more people feeling shy and feeling they are unable to say their opinion.

Someone that is not a leader, but still has a role in the group.

That person is a follower of the leader and there to support. Followers still contribute to discussions and a part of the team/group but do not take control/responsibility for the group.
