      <description>Named Most Valuable Professor of the Year in 2020, Carlos Alsua has enjoyed a successful career in business and academia. He works at Tucson’s University of Arizona as full professor of practice in international management and global entrepreneurship at the university’s Eller College of Management. Carlos Alsua has taught a variety of MBA and PhD courses, including global business and global social entrepreneurship.

After earning his MBA from Arizona State University in Tucson, he went on to earn a PhD in business administration in management and entrepreneurship. He served at the University of Alaska Anchorage as an associate professor with tenure, teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses through hybrid learning systems. Dr. Alsua also held multiple visiting professorships in South America, Russia, Asia, and Europe.

Carlos Alsua is a past recipient of the GloCol program at Harvard Business School. A member of the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers, he has published award-winning research papers addressing entrepreneurial policy and managerial best practices. In addition to his academic work, he is and entrepreneur, and has offered assistance to nonprofit and governmental organizations around the world.</description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), 2020 was the second hottest year on record. The agency further reported that since 2014, the world had recorded some of its hottest years. These worrisome statistics indicate the fact that the effects of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_change"><strong>climate change</strong></a> are very much upon us. Hence, there is a need for a concerted global effort to reduce or eliminate its known causes. In November 2021, world leaders gathered in Glasgow, Scotland, for the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference, commonly referred to as COP26.</div>]]></description>
