It's Magnetic! by Brooke Postlethwait

What do you know about Magnetism. Is there any magnets in the Earth (not the ones that you put on the refrigerator). If so, where can they be found?

They have to be opposite fields in order to attract, and the same to repel. Magnets are found in the Earth. When you use a compass, the magnetic poles make the needle point North.

magnets may have certain degrees of strength. The poles of the earth, both magnetic fields, have the pull. if two of the same sides of magnets are introduced (north north; south south;) they will repel each other. however, if alternating sides are introduced, they will stick. Ultimately, it's also the reason that compasses always point north. However, in millions of years, the poles will flip, as shown in a weakening in the magnetic currents around the earth. The weakening has caused many more cases of skin cancers, as radiation from space increases.
