The scene in “Friends” begins with a three shot then transitions to a shot reverse shot while the characters have a conversation.  There is a wide shot next to establish all the characters, then continues to an over the shoulder shot to create the ambiance. The scene then becomes a tracking shot as the characters are preparing to change locations.
