MindPlay is designed with a strong focus on assisting students with dyslexia. Its curriculum is grounded in the Orton-Gillingham approach and the Science of Reading, providing structured, multisensory instruction. The program includes a K-3 Dyslexia Screener to identify early signs of dyslexia, allowing for timely interventions

Furthermore, MindPlay Reading Coach offers individualized instruction with immediate feedback, adapting in real-time to ensure mastery. It also features a Personalized Library with high-interest decodable texts to reinforce phonics skills .​

📊 Effectiveness and Research-Based Outcomes

MindPlay Reading has demonstrated significant improvements in students' reading abilities. Notably, a study indicated that eighth-grade students who participated in the MindPlay Virtual Reading Coach (MVRC) during summer school increased their reading skills by 1.5 to 3 years in just 16 days .​MindPlay Education

Additionally, in one semester, 66% of students using MindPlay increased their reading proficiency by one grade level or more .​

Your child must score at or above grade level on both the Star Reading and Math Assessments, and if accepted into the program, they will need to complete all assignments on-time, including Mindplay Reading and IXL, as well as check-in each week during their scheduled R.I.S.E. check in time.

This is a free typing app, with kid friendly games, that will help them with these skills!

Learning Coaches we have been doing this for a few years now and can tell you that when a student keeps their camera off in class, and is unresponsive (even if it is because they are shy) they tend to be less engaged and score lower on assessments.

While we understand feeling "shy", it is something we should be working towards overcoming, especially in a virtual setting. Camera use can make a virtual setting feel less isolating, it can help students feel like they are part of the class, and it makes it more difficult for them to disengage and do other things during their live sessionss. Please encourage your student to use their camera, and to respond in the chat, and by using their microphone.

Reminder: If you have more than one child, you have to submit a form for each child.

If you are experiencing a power or internet outage, you must include a copy of the message from your power/intenet company showing the outage.

Grammar: Prepositions

Prepostions are words that relates a noun or pronoun to another word in the sentence.

Over, above, around, from, to, by, under, beside, beneath, etc.

Prepositions usually tell you where, how, when, why things happen, or who is involved in the action.

Hint: This won't always work BUT think about a cat and a box. Where can the cat be? That is a preposition: In the box, on the box, above the box, beside the box, beneath the box, behind the box, etc.
