It slowly changes from light, fluffy crystals to hard, round ice pellets. New snow falls and buries this granular snow. The glaciers are located in the Antartida and Greeland. A glacier is a large mass of ice that forms on the top of the mountain and thiese mass of ice slowly descends the slope in the sahpe of the tongue.
