<title>Some of these sites motivate and inspire while providing resources for educational, cultural, social, and academic learning opportunities. They help emerging bilinguals build community and learn from each other. They often foster a &quot;growth mindset&quot; that encourages students of all ages to make mistakes and learn important academic, personal, interpersonal, and professional lessons in the process. Dave&#39;s ESL Cafe is a treasure chest of academic and professional resources for students and for teachers. Everything from ESL grammar lessons to international teaching opportunities and certification programs for teachers await. Songs For Grammar provides ESL students catchy and/or popular tunes from theater or television to learn academic vocabulary for SAT test preparation, parts of speech, and casual conversation phrases</title>

<title>Read Works reminds me of NEWSELA. It has engaging and relevant articles with a wide variety of topics, lexiles, grade levels, academic vocabulary, and Common Cores Standards represented. Larry Ferlazzo&#39;s site has videos, teaching instruction, articles from a host of other educational sites. He shares best practices from many sources and recommends books and articles. Dave&#39;s ESL Cafe is useful for both teachers and students for enhancing extensive ESL personal, academic, and professional opportunities. All of these professional development sites are filled with grammar, articles, videos, and explicit instruction that can be utilized to help ELL students access the core curriculum. </title>
