Albert Einstein was a very famous and smart scientist, but he went through many setbacks. People told him that he could never get a job, that he wasn't a good student, and that he was just too different. He overcame many challenges throughout his life and continued making scientific discoveries that we still use today. How has somebody's words hurt you? What is something that somebody told you that made it hard to go forward? What is something you can do to overcome this challenge? How can we prevent hurtful words in the classroom?

This is an example of an "I am" poem. You will be writing one based on yourself, but you will only be writing two stanzas. They can be as funny or as serious as you want to make them. Here is the format you will be using:

First Stanza
I am (2 qualities you have)
I wonder (something you are curious about)
I hear (an imaginary sound)
I see (an imaginary sight)
I want (anything you want)
I am (the first line of you stanza repeated)

Second Stanza
I pretend (something you pretend to do)
I feel (a feeling about something imaginary)
I touch (an imaginary touch)
I worry (something that bothers you)
I cry (something that makes you sad)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated again)
