There has been a large debate on this topic, as Brazil, is where the Zika virus has originated and is dominating. It is an issue because a large number of people, including some health experts and athletes say that we should re-schedule this, whereas WHO and some official olympic committees are strongly against them. 

These are just some of the dangers associated with Zika. Microcephaly, the defect in young fetus’ brain, and Guillain-Barre syndrome, a rare neurological disorder are the two mainly known diseases. There is no vaccine for it yet and very little is known while it is extremely difficult to control the source.
