My story revolves around 4 young characters who appear to be family friends. The characters seem to be mature in their thoughts through the progress of the story. There are mainly 2 points in the story which are highlighted. First, one being the importance of donation, which means giving charity to the needy. It takes away your own problems which might hit you in the future. Secondly being the positive impact of social media on society.

One of the characters was unaware of the calamity of an earthquake that hit upon 2 countries. Upon being shown the images and videos of the victims being shared on social media he came to know the severity of the situation and together they planned to help them.

That’s how they grow in the progression of the story and try to be more responsible citizens showing their positive gestures. In this way, the story will let them learn the importance of being kind and joining hands together to create a healthy environment in society.

The story title is “Donate Even with a Dirham”. The background of the story is Arab culture and its ethics and moral values. The story’s focus is to teach young minds to understand the basic concept of kindness and giving donations to needy people. The characters in the story are portrayed in their traditional dresses.

My story is putting emphasis on the moral values of giving alms and donations to needy people, as it encourages empathy, and it shows compassion for others. The characters are having a different point of view about it. Most of them agreed on the point that they should help the people who are hit by the calamity. Only one of them disagreed as he was unaware of the severity of the situation. These characters will show the example to my targeted audience who are aged 5 to 6 kids. So that they get to learn the importance of being compassionate towards others. They will be volunteers to join hands with each other for the betterment of this world.

The characters interact with their mother and with each other as they are all family friends. All of them behaved nicely only except Ahmed who was unaware of the problems the people are facing in those areas. Later when he was told about the reality, he changed his mind and showed his good intention. They are also taught the lesson that they should always think before they speak so that their words might not hurt someone.
