Well for one they are different in ways like, rotation moves around  on its axis and revolution moves around the sun. Another example is that revolution   changes the appearance of the moon which is called moon phases. While rotation just has movement of the moon it doesn't change the appearance of it. These affect the temperatures too with the longer summer days that bring warmer summer temperatures .With shorter winter days that brings cooler winter temperatures.
