General causes of internal migration:

• Employment, job opportunities for both however men are more likely to seek work/ because of a job assignment while women tend to migrate to gain education or as dependents 
• Push Factors : Crime, low access to resources, low quality healthcare and education in rural areas
• Pull Factors: Job oppurtunities, Education, Improved healthcare, Developed technology and resources in central regions
