Globalization connects us and opens many opportunities, but it also risks erasing cultural traditions that shape our identity and values. The challenge is to embrace progress while protecting the practices that give us wisdom, community, and resilience. If we strike this balance, globalization can enrich diversity instead of diminishing it.

Back in high school, smartphones played a big role because teachers would often send reminders about homework, quizzes, or even sudden announcements through group chats. The internet was our go-to for research since it gave us access to articles, videos, and other resources that really helped us understand lessons beyond the textbook. During times when classes were suspended, video conferencing apps like Zoom or Google Meet made it possible for us to still attend lectures, recitations, and even group activities online. Social media was also widely used—not just for fun, but for education too—since teachers would create class groups where they posted important updates, while students used it to share reviewers, notes, and project ideas. Looking back, I realized that these technologies didn’t just make learning easier; they also made school life more engaging, and honestly, I can’t imagine going through high school without them.
