• An art or craft activity I remember liking as a child is colouring and painting my foot print on a big piece of paper. And using macaroni noodles putting them in a plastic cup and cover the top with a clear tape or clear wrapper, and put an elastic around the cup. I think it was called a shaker. -Annie

When camping, looking for animal bones, like seal bones (aksaqquq) or a caribou jaw with teeth. I’d take off the teeth and play with them, like pretend they are a little human. Or lining them up in order, big to small. Same with the aksaqquq, smallest to biggest. We tried finding the biggest one.

My favourite sensory activity was “oobleck” that we learned in science, cornstarch and water that acts like a solid when applying pressure but acts like a water when left alone. So fun, defies gravity. -Jean

Painting or colouring different kinds of themes

I remember in art class I would get so excited to draw and colour. We would draw our families outdoors in the summer or winter. But out camping I remember playing with toy skidoos and boat made out of wood, when we are boating or playing along the shore keep the boat in the water with a string. Also I remember growing up at my grandparents camp site us cousins would throw thin rocks and skip them in the water and see who’s rock goes the farthest lol

My favourite art was drawing mountain with inukshuk on side, making the sun in the corner with a bit of clouds, tent in the middle and water on the bottom.
