-In decades after World War II, the use of the insecticide DDT started to help reduce malaria cases throughout the world. By the 1970s, use of DDT was linked to thinning bird eggshells. By 1985, after bird populations dropped, DDT use was banned in many countries. By the 1990's malaria made a resurgence due to the drop in DDT use.

-Malaria is basically killing off the next generation of Sub-Saharan Africa while HIV AIDS is mostly in the elder people.
