Checked out LibraryThing. Discovered I started a shelf already (probably prior conf.) Will create summer reading lists.
Checked out StoryBird and plan to share with a few teachers who will likely use it. Also checked out googleLitTrips which will be used to explore where the setting of the book took place. Set up accts with SroeyBird, Padlet, GoogleLitTrips

I plan on using Storybird this week. I am doing a Poetry activity with students and this will work great with that lesson. I am also very interested in using Nearpod as well with an upcoming 6th grade research project.

I created a Bookbox shelf and was able to post it to my library webpage with links to the schools catalog. After that I moved onto looking into Aurasma and trying to think of ways that it could be used it in the library or in class by students to promote reading.

Quiver flag project when my students plan and start their own country.

The Dot quiver project in the beginning of each year.

Lots of ideas to try during our RTI block scheduling that begins next year: global speed chat, quad blogging, storybird challenges, blackout poetry with weeded selections, free rice, and quiver.

I am going to make some hotspots for our New Student Walk-through in August. I will grab video of the school now (during lunch, PE, getting off the bus, borrowing books, etc.) and share iPads with families during the tour.
