         <description><![CDATA[<div>Born on the 24th of February to two college students who had put him up for adoption. <br>once he was later adopted by Paul and Clara and then moved to California <br>From a young age, Steve was introduced to the electronic world as his adopted father  Paul showed his son how to take apart and reconstruct electronics, this was a hobby that instilled confidence, tenacity and mechanical prowess in young Jobs.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>The beginning of a legacy </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After leaving High school, Jobs had enrolled to Reed college in Portland, but after only 18 months and lacking the direction he dropped out and began to take creative classes at the school. this is where he fell in love with typography whilst doing a calligraphy course.<br>in 1974 Job had taken up a position at Atari as a game designer, but 7 months later he decided to leave to find spiritual enlightenment in India. 2 years later him and his high school friend  Steve Wozniak started their company Apple in Jobs family garage. this was funded by Jobs selling his Volkswagen bus and Wozniak selling his scientific calculator.<br>Jobs and Wozniak are credited for revolutionizing the computer industry. they made their machine smaller, cheaper, intuitive and accessible to the public <br>Apple I earned the corporation around $774,000. Three years after the release of Apple's second model, the Apple II, the company's sales increased by 700 percent to $139 million. In 1980, Apple Computer became a publicly traded company, with a market value of $1.2 billion  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Due to several apple products having design faults which led to recalls and consumer disappointment, IBM a rival of apple surpassed them in the sales. <br>In 1984 Apple released the Macintosh, it was marketed as a computer which was a youthful, creative and counterculture lifestyle, but despite the positive sales Apple were still unable to surpass IBM.<br>John Suclley who was hired by Steve Jobs for marketing, felt that Jobs was hurting the company image, so he along with the board of directors began to phase Jobs out and because Jobs hadn't had a official title he was easily given a marginalized position. this lead to Jobs leaving apple. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After Jobs left Apple, he began a new hardware and software company called NeXT inc. <br>the year after he purchased an animation studio from George Lucas which later became to be know as Pixar, he invested $50 million of his own money believing in the potential of Pixar which later produced the wildly popular movies such as finding nemo, toy story and the incredibles which netted $4 billion. later the company merged with Disney which made Jobs the largest shareholder </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Despite Pixar's success, NeXT, Inc. floundered in its attempts to sell its specialized operating system to mainstream America. Apple eventually bought the company in 1996 for $429 million. The following year, Jobs returned to his post as Apple's CEO.<br><br></div><div>Just as Steve Jobs instigated Apple's success in the 1970s, he is credited with revitalizing the company in the 1990s. With a new management team, altered stock options and a self-imposed annual salary of $1 a year, Jobs put Apple back on track. His ingenious products (like the iMac), effective branding campaigns and stylish designs caught the attention of consumers once again.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>in 2003 Jobs discovered he had a neuroendocrine tumour, this is a rare tumour in the pancreas <br> 2004, he had a successful surgery to remove the pancreatic tumour. <br>On October 5, 2011, Apple Inc. announced that its co-founder had passed away. After battling pancreatic cancer for nearly a decade, Steve Jobs died in Palo Alto. He was 56 years old.</div>]]></description>
