The trend seemed to be that FDR chose to do absolutely nothing unless he was forced to. He wanted to completely stay out of the war unless there was an event or action that brought the war to him. The US played no role whatsoever during the beginning half of World War 2. The game showed us that in most situations, FDR chose to take no formal action after events. When he was forced, he chose to take the least action possible in that situation. Eventually he was forced to declare war.

For many years, the US remained very passive when it came to certain problems in the world. The US would take small actions such as invoking or revising Neutrality laws and even sometimes just taking no formal action. The US remained so neutral that they basically played absolutely no role in the war. Later on the US began taking more up front actions such as expanding armed forces, sending aid to allies, or expanding escort zones. This started to give them more of a role during this time. The US began getting aggressive by having a "shoot on sight" order become a thing. Finally, the US gets involved by declaring war.

This game showed me that the trend is that we stayed neutral through the majority. We only helped out or got involved in any way when we went to help out our allies. He revised treaties when it involved our allies. We only declared war when they declared war on us.

The trend was that Franklin D Roosevelt did not do anything unless the US or Allied powers were in danger. He did not want conflict he wanted to stay out to keep the US from being harmed. Mainly we didn't do anything and if we did we just send aid to the Allies. At the very end we finally joined the war after Germany declared war on us.

FDR wanted to stay out of it as much as possible but told Americans to be ready in case something went wrong. FDR would help his allies when needed and finally in 1941, the U.S entered the war.

During the events that led up to the start of WWII they were all red flags that should've been stopped or at least stomped out before they actually caught any wind. While these events continued Great Britain and France were not prepared for any such thing including war, they were not prepared since every country was in a Global Depression and both G.B. and France were no exception. once Hitler came to power and started to show no signs of backing down and continuously kept stomping on the T.O.V. the U.S still kept neutral. more and more events continue and Germany invaded Poland which was the last strike for the rest and everyon around. the U.S. at during all this was trying to help G.B. and France by not getting involved physically but yet more of in resources. the main point was that the U.S. stayed Neutral and that democracy was in trouble due to the rise and power of Hitler.

The United States remained neutral during the beginning of the world war. While invoked with fear, they still chose to do nothing because they feared war itself more than anything. However, they continuously sent aid to their allies when it was needed and even gave Britain a "lend-lease" when they could no longer buy arms due to a loss of gold. FDR believed neutral was the safest route, but Germany was determined and resentful. Germany began attacking the US with U-Boats and submarines. Nonetheless, we mainly just stayed neutral and revised the neutrality plans occasionally until Pearl Harbor which was a direct attack on the U.S. We stayed out of war until we absolutely could not.

The biggest goal for US seemed to stay neutral and not upset any of the sides ( they really just sent aid when needed).
