My mother and I didn't have a lot back when I was a small kid and I feel as though I should make her proud by graduating and going her the life and love she gave me.

The way we used to live, which was barely living, weighed on me and my family heavily. Ever since I'v been stricken on making a name for myself and to soon make enough money to give my family the financial stability and opportunity to better themselves.

I am motivated within this career path because I believe the world and cosmetic industry is not only oversaturated, but there aren't many African American chemists within the industry. Yes of course, many business owners create their own product at home, however very few of these owners are certified within this field of business.
