Reflection of Garden Growth

Though the time span feels quite short, it was about a few months ago that I selected the chive as my given plant. When the petite sprout of yellow-green arrived, I patted into the Earth, watered it, and watched it grow. Over those months between then and now, our plants grew, but we as a group did as well. You grow in maturity and responsibility once you have to take care of a life. As well, when there is a communal garden, you begin to care for other's plants, not your own. When the oregano looks a little dry or the sage a little dull, we all contribute, spotting a tad of water and care when we can. Confidently, after all the time and energy I and others have spent on my plant, I can say that my chives have beautifully grown. They are stretching their leafy heads towards the sky, strands thick and mighty. With our garden, we grew, at first quiet creatures, than blooming into beauty over time with care.

A tower garden can help the world to become more sustainable by creating a system that grows and nurtures fast-growing plants without much of a human touch. There is no required machinery save for the tower garden itself and the net pots. This saves material, space, and fossil fuels.

This is the Cha Cha Chive Chive plant. This chive is just like any other, long and thick, numerous in number, and with a distinct onion-like taste. However, unlike most chive plants, the common chive, the garlic chive, the Siberian chive, etcetera, the cha cha chive chive has a head of mini chives.
