I noticed that they all encouraged us to use our resources and create relationships with your peers. Being a new teacher, the first year will be tough but it's important to remember that not everything has to be on your own. 
2. Some of the strategies that I heard was observation, hands on assessment and screening. I think you can learn a lot of just looking at what your students are doing and getting them involved. 
3. I really like the advice to have one plan day. I think this can really help find the work like/personal life balance. I also think that this will prevent over working and burn out. 
4.  I think I connect with Dena Steen the most. Hearing her story about the students was truly powerful. She got to see students' growth in practice, and I strive to have a classroom like she does. 
5. What surprised me is that some of the didn't go to college to be a teacher at first. Another thing was that some of these mentors started out as classroom teacher but are now in higher education placements. 
6. I would really like to check out the book Gift of Dyslexia. I think I would give me a huge insight of how students with dyslexia learn and what they go through on a day to day. Another one is the book Morning Meeting. I think this would be a great book to read to make sure I am taking care of myself as a person while succeeding in my career.  Kelly Tines has a lot of good things to say about Adam Grant's podcast so I would check those out. Brandi England mentioned books about leadership. I would listen to podcast about leadership to ensure that I can be a teacher my students can look up to. Lastly, Spencer Brown mentioned that he reads How Learning Happens. I think reading this book would be very beneficial as a teacher.
