In 3rd grade I transferred to a new, small school that I would go to until 8th grade and where I met some of my closest friends.

1st Generation American

Both sides of my family are from Romania and came here when they were young. This has exposed me to a different culture and language. It has also led my family to meet many Romanian families with kids that are like me and my sister.

Catholic High School

Instead of going to my towns public High School I went to the catholic high school my mom went to when she was my age. I spent over a decade of my life going to catholic schools.

Travel

I have been traveling my entire life and plan to continue. The past few years my family has been traveling with friends and family friends which have been some of the most memorable vacations I have been on. Some of my favorite places are; Greece, Romania, and St. Johns

College

During the college process my dad took me to visit over 20 schools before i decided to come to High Point University. It was when we visited I could really see myself being friends with people here, and I have made many friends since.

Camp Gordyland

I went to the same summer day camp every year from when I was 5 years old to when I was 14 years old. It was where I met my best friend.

Cross Country

I started running Cross Country in 5th grade and continued through my senior year of high school. I was on varsity all four years of high school and senior captain. I made lots of friends that I would not have if I never joined the team.

Sailing Camp

I began to work at a sailing camp at the beach in my town and became friends with not only my coworkers but also some of the campers

Covid-19

During late Covid-19, because we could not go to school or go out in public, my sister and I would hang out with some of our neighbors outside who happened to be friends from our middle school

During the summer of 2021, my friend took me on vacation with her family where we managed to make friends with a bunch of kids our age, two of whom we realized lived down the road from me.

Martial Arts

When I was younger I did two martial arts; Karate and Aikido. I stuck with Aikido for longer because my parents, who had been going there as well, had become friends with parents which led me to befriend many kids in the classes.
