Logic released his first song, Symulation, when he was 16 for free. He continued to do this until had believed he had a large enough audience to charge money for his music. In Logic’s mind, releasing music for free was an investment in himself. By generating a fan base early in his career, it made it much easier for him to sell his music later in his life.

Starting at the age of 13, his mentor, Solomon Taylor, would go out and by old CD’s for Logic to free-style rap over. This helped Logic improve upon his lyrics and flow. It allowed him to become more create with the music he was making. The first CD he free-styled over was The Roots’ album, “Do You Want More?!!!??!”

Logic’s first concert was Xfinity Theatre in Connecticut. It was the first time Logic had to spend money to rent out a venue so that he could perform.

On his journey to finding a manager, Logic met Chris Zarou. Since they were both struggling young adults they both relied on each other for their own success. Chris put in a ton of work to get Logic music deals and to get Logic’s name out in the world.

In 2020, Logic went on a podcast and talked about some of the many things he has invested in. He invested $6 million into the cryptocurrency Bitcoin. He also invested into unique things, such as a $226,000 Charizard Pokémon card.

Before 2014, Logic had spent his time dropping 5 mixtapes in 5 years. His life was consumed with creating music, and his life became even more busy after he got a music deal and was finally able to start working on his first studio album.

With the improvement to technology in the music industry, the quality of Logic’s music has improved. This includes things like a beat making software, sound banks, an audio interface, and a condenser mic.
