Why was Queen Elizabeth I so important?

Queen Elizabeth the first was so important because she was the start of something new. The way she ruled created a different perspective on what males thought of females back in the day. England was for once rejoicing in joy and happiness after the reign of “Bloody” Mary was over after her death. With Queen Mary’s passing, it was now upon her half-sister, Elizabeth, to take over her reign and serve in a new way. Queen Elizabeth wanted to rule in a different manner and create a more appropriate role model for female rulers since her sister’s wasn’t enough. However, there was also a deep prejudice with female rulers, as males thought they were inferior compared to them; males thought they had neither the intelligence or the strength to survive in the world. Ironic. Then, the author goes into how Queen Elizabeth has had such a successful reign; being single was one of her success factors. Apparently, in more research, the reason she didn’t marry was because it allowed her for more foreign policy advantages. Another ruler or king would mean more enemies in her eyes. She could also use her charming, or as described by many people, to take advantage of many people into doing her bidding, Everyone adorned her unlike her half sister, Queen Mary. Elizabeth was so important to society, because she changed the view point for many people. Especially after her successful ruling, male’s viewings of females changed and females had a chance to prove themselves to be different.
