They are going to move because of a job that his dad got that Bruno had no clue about. They are moving out of town which Bruno had no clue about and is upset about. He really is upset that he has to move and leave all of his friends without a choice in it. WWII is still effecting them, I know this because Brunos mother said that they would be more safe if they move away. When they got there, Bruno was not happy to see their house because there were no other houses on their block so he had no one on his street to play with which he did not like because of how lonely he felt. Bruno was still unhappy with the new house so is trying to convince his mom to move back to their former house but his mom did not accept of it.

Bruno's dad's soldiers are in Bruno's house and Bruno is confused about it because Bruno doesn't understand why they are there and doesn't like them. Bruno looked outside his window similar to the one in Berlin and something made him feel cold and unsafe when he went to look out of the window. Bruno gets bullied by his older sister and her friends for no particular reason. Bruno went into his sisters room and they started to talk about the new house and they were actually agreeing with each other about not liking the new house. Gretel (Bruno's Sister) and Bruno are getting along and Bruno showed Gretel the kids that he saw outside of his window earlier. But I think that when Bruno looked outside the window, he didn't see kids, I think that he might of seen spies for the other army because his dad has a job where he is a soldier so I think that the people that Bruno saw might be spies.

Lieutenant Kolter was helping Bruno find a tire that Bruno could use but when Kolter saw one of Brunos fathers assistants named Pavel and Kolter called him over, directed him to take Bruno to a spare tire but while he was saying that, he said three words that Bruno hadn't understood. Bruno had a seriously bad accident with his "swing" and fell and really hurt his leg and other body parts too. Pavel saw this and came out to help him. Pavel was underrating Brunos cut and Bruno ended up saying that he's not a doctor for saying that he doesn't need to go to the hospital and Pavel said that he was, this made Bruno suprised.

Bruno really misses her so sent her a letter telling her about all of the new stuff with his new house.

Bruno is talking to Shmuel about where they both lived but I think that Bruno is saying things that Shmuel does not agree with like Germany is a superior country and stuff like that.

From this evening that Bruno is describing, it seems that the Fury is not nice as he said why would you learn another language to Gretel, wasn't polite, took a seat at the table that Bruno's dad usually does, and he didn't open the car door for his wife. Shumuel then says that before he moved here, he lived with his mother and father, and his brother Josef and they lived in a small flat above his dad's store. Shumuel said that his dad made and fixed watches and his dad gave him one but when he came here, the soldiers took it from him. When they were done talking, Shumuel asked for some food but when Bruno said no, Shumuel realized that he needed to go and left.

Bruno had brought up Lieutenant Kolter and it seems that Lieutenant Kolter did something or isn't nice to anybody because neither Bruno nor Shumuel liked him and Shumuel went pale when they were talking about Lieutenant Kolter. Lieutenant Kolter was talking about his dad and how in 1938 he left Germany but when he said this, Bruno's dad had an interesting reaction and started asking questions. When Lieutenant Kolter said something about his dad, Bruno's dad had a weird reaction but Bruno's dad said that they should talk about it later. After that, Pavel brought over a drink for Bruno's dad but when he was walking away, he spilled it on Lieutenant Kolter and Lieutenant Kolter was not happy with it and he did something to Pavel and I think that he killed Pavel because Gretel went pale, and Bruno started crying. Later, it is raining and when Bruno usually goes to Shmuel, he couldn't because of the rain so he was reading on his bed and Gretel walked in his room and was talking to him but Bruno accidentally said that he is supposed to go meet Shmuel and Gretel didn't know what he said or understand it because she had no clue who Shmuel is.

The lie worked because Gretel believed it and actually bought into the story. Lieutenant Kolter brought over Shmuel because they needed him to polish glasses but when Bruno went in the kitchen and saw him, things took a turn for the worse because Bruno got out food but by the time Bruno offered the food and Shmuel ate it, he wasn't able to act like he wasn't eating because when Lieutenant Kolter came back in and Shmuel was polishing the glasses, Lieutenant Kolter was able to tell that Shmuel had eaten. Lieutenant Kolter moved out and Bruno went into Gretel's room and asked what the fence was their for and she said that it was to separate them from the Jews and then Gretel screamed while she was doing her hair and it turned out that they both have lice.

The next two days he went and didn't see Shmuel and on the third day he went and didn't find anything and after 10 minutes, was about to turn around and go back when he saw Shmuel and told him that he was going to be moving and when he did that, they started talking about how they never played together or how they never were on the same side of the fence as each other, but then Bruno and Shmuel made a plan for them to go on the same side of one-another's fence so that they could play tomorrow and they both agreed on it and it benefited both people because Shmuel's dad went missing so they would have to go on an adventure to find him and Bruno loves adventures so they both said yes.

Bruno had to ditch all of his clothes including his boots just for him not to get noticed and Bruno wasn't really that comfortable with it but eventually he got used to it. When Bruno got to the camp, he was shocked to see what the people were doing because he thought that they would be playing, enjoying themselves and having a good time but that was not correct at all. Bruno was about to go home when the soldiers suddenly blew a whistle and everybody (except the soldiers) started to gather up and those who didn't, got shot. Then, suddenly it started to rain so they were moved into a place where the rain couldn't get in. Then nobody ever heard from Bruno again and a few months later instead of the next day, Bruno's mom along with Gretel moved back to Berlin hoping to find Bruno but nobody did, and his dad was trying to piece together what could've happened to Bruno because he found Bruno's clothes and was still confused and loses his will to live, gets taken away by soldiers and get punished. Nobody ever found Bruno so my guess is that when Bruno and Shmuel went into the place where no rain could get in, everybody in there (except the soldiers) died. FINISHED!!!
