But how to teach it? Tell me. I believe that every individual has the right to be informed. Yes. Informed, made aware of things. Then the same individual must be respected, not bombarded, otherwise he will spend the rest of his life in trying and deconstruct and discover himself and give some revival to his own imagination. I still believe that the best teaching method is the one that can inspire. I'm in search of that, I'm ardently seeking that. So, again, technology, a different setting, a more wide sense of knowledge, et similia, all those things can help. Just help.

I agree with him when he says that ritical thinking is becoming more and more importanyt in our complex society.in a certain sense he recalls me Edgar Morin book that i post here and that focuese on this aspect of education.thank you Roger Blamirfor your contribution I like it very much

Students and teachers have a great challenge and I hope to participate at this process ! 

Teachers skills are very high and I think that one of the most important is Teacher professional learning because we need to reflect on the way we teach  and what our students learn with us.

For students I particularly agree about  creativity ( learning from mistakes) , communication ( express yourself in different language and situation), collaboratio working together on a task to complete or create something , personal responsibility , enjoy learning, responsible for your learning metacognition is really important.rs.pngzoom_ou

• responsibility, social responsibility, learning to learn: responsible person at work and in personal life, eager for self-knowledge and lifelong learning.

The 21st century skills are functional to good teaching for significant learning; flexibility on the spaces and new tecnologie.Ciò makes explicit greater development of skills; I got to experience it to school through, for example, the EAS.

I think it is, of course, that must be created opportunities for students to develop these skills in the classroom, but also teachers should develop these skills in their professional development.

I believe in the pedagogical model of learning based in projects, in which students learn how to plan, the search / find, organize, produce, working in a group collaboratively to communicate... So, I would say that the curriculum/ school/ the teacher should promote the development of the powers of the 21st century and of values (particularly in the context of active citizenship), supported by learning the content of discipline/ multidisciplinary.

By promoting:
Creativity we allow the students  to express on their own and produce something by themselves or/and with others.

Communication we exercise speaking and writing skills – adapting our language to different situations and new forms of expression and discussions, using ICT, apps , social media, for instance.
Collaboration by working together ( pair/group work)on a task to solve a problem, to reach an objective we implement flexibility, responsability . 
Digital competences – Digital operational skills: making things work, organising, managing, filing, evaluating information and learning to protect privacy, to respect other people , that is as  Roger says , help them to learn to be safe and responsible.

Critical thinking  - we help them to assess options, make decisions, contest, analize.as  the world is becoming more and more complex with a lot of information, this is a really important skill to be developed.
Personal responsability – will help them learn to learn, enjoy learning,  be responsible for future learning, reflecting on their own learning, adapting , becoming the person they want to be, being a citizen of the world.

However, it is necessary to start with the teachers. It is in them and in political power that the obstacle to change lies. Maybe this is due to historical  or social reasons, economics, educational policies and even some insecurity by the teachers.

As someone said, we are twentieth-century teachers, teaching in 19th-century classrooms to 21st-century students. Something is not right!

Be able to adapt, adjust, be flexible, understanding, communicative, collaborative, keen of technology with digital competences, divergent and creative, all can be important to the unknown future.Critical thinking, curiosity, be able to investigate all can be decisive. School and teachers are often frightened by all that is new and it shouldn't. Mr .Blamire is right, but i value also ability to memorize. It is still important

In regards to our knowledge net we need to take into account the creativity, communication, collaboration, digital competences, critical thinking and personal responsibility as the skills of this 21st century learning world. 

Teachers know that the new skills need to be developed, but the existing educational system does not comply with the development of students in the 21st century. 

I agree with the Roger’s statement that teachers also should develop all these skills or there will be no progress in our classroom. For me,  the crucial skills are critical thinking and personal development. The skills mentioned by Roger can be linked to the learning zones (webinar Jose Louis Fernandez).
 I will translate Roger’s video and present on the next teaching council in my school.

The EU, as Blamire points out in the video, states eight key competences to master for this 21st Century, which are: 

1. Communication in the mother tongue.

2. Communication in foreign languages.

3. Mathematical competence and basic competences in science and technology.

4. Digital competence.

5. Learning to learn.

6. Social and civic competences.

7. Sense of initiative and entrepeneurship.

8. Cultural awareness and expression.

The digital era requires a strict mastery of communication competences via the social networks and sharing tools, promoting netiquette and self-control and underlying the value of a good SEO and personal branding practice. At the same time, in the new schools some other skills besides communication have become far more important as compared to the schools of old, like creativity, initiative, courage to take planned or calculated risks, learning from your own mistakes, self-evaluating your own creations, collaboration, being flexible and able to play different roles, respect to oneself and others, being able to work efficiently through digital tools, being able to analyse information and its sources critically, safety and responsibility online, problem-solving, decision-taking, well-founded argumentation, reaching your own conclusions, learning to learn, and self-actualisation. All these skills require new forms of assessment and testing, as Mr. Blamire points out. 

"21st century key competences" that`s what should we start with to recreate the system of education in furure, that`s what should every school teacher be aware of. 

These skills have always been important for students, though they are particularly important in our information-based economy. When most workers held jobs in industry, the key skills were knowing a trade, following directions, getting along with others, working hard, and being professional—efficient, prompt, honest, and fair. Schools have done an excellent job of teaching these skills, and students still need them.

To hold information-age jobs, though, students also need to think deeply about issues, solve problems creatively, work in teams, communicate clearly in many media, learn ever-changing technologies, and deal with a flood of information. The rapid changes in our world require students to be flexible, to take the initiative and lead when necessary, and to produce something new and useful.
