         <description><![CDATA[<div>This new act helped homeowners refinace their homes,  help pay their mortgage or extend the given them to pay their mortgage. I would say this was mostly relief becuase many people had lost their jobs and had no way of paying their mortgage and were going to lose their home.<br>https://livingnewdeal.org/glossary/home-owners-loan-act-1933/<br><br>FDR signed this so help people keep their homes. If people could keep their house and have managable mortgage payments then they economy could go up.</div>]]></description>
